MPCV PROJECT ENTERING THE SECOND ROUND

ALTER TECHNOLOGY has begun activities for the procurement of the second European Service Module (ESM) for the NASA Multipupose Crew Vehicle (MPCV).

ALTER TECHNOLOGY has begun activities for the procurement of the second European Service Module (ESM) for the NASA Multipupose Crew Vehicle (MPCV). MPCV is a vehicle designed to support crewed missions beyond low Earth orbit and cargo/crewed missions to the International Space Station (ISS). The service module, under ESA responsibility, provides translational and 3-axis attitude control for the spacecraft, stores consumables for the crew module (oxygen, nitrogen, and water), and provides thermal control and power. ATN will be in charge of the engineering, testing, and procurement of the electronic components on board the ESM.

It is based on the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV), the European supply craft for the ISS. We have carried out the procurement of the electronic components for the five ATVs launched, and our aim is to do the same with the ESM.
